20 Aug 2008 - 153 Die in Spanish Plane Crash

As many of your are probably aware today in Spain there has been an awful tragedy at Madrid airport as a plane has cashed and the death toll now stands at 153 as I watch the news, with only 19 survivers.

Our hearts and thought go out to all those people who have been affected by the tragedy and indeed our prayers are with all of those who have lost loved ones in the incident.

We also pray at this time for our colleagues in Spain and also in Gran Canaria where the flight was heading who will help to support the families and friend of those lost.

Dear Lord, we ask for your loving hands to be upon all of those affected by the tragedy in Spain today, be with all of those who are taking part in the recovery process and all of those who are caring for those injured and indeed those who are waiting for news on loved ones. We pray also for our minister friends who help to support and minister to the families of all those affected. Lord in your Love we offer all these people to you. May all those who have lost their lives rise in Glory. Amen.
