Fundraising

As sure as the waves of the ocean lap second by second at the shores of the earth, it is a certain fact that every day and every moment of those days, many many people are crying out in the hope of help and support.

This is what being part of ICSJ is all about.

We believe in going out and doing what we can to help, to empower and support people wherever they need it. This isn't sympathy and it isn't charity.

This is a practical empathetic response to people in need. Some of us have talents in this regard, and others of us need the support of people around them to achieve it.

Its about ackowledging needs, preparing a response and going out there and doing it.

So how can YOU help?

Our clergy and pastoral leaders always need supporters, people willng to go to the coal face of faith in action and get their hand's dirty!

Do you have any of the following practical skills?

# Carpentry

#Plumbing

#DIY general

#Gardening

#Cooking

#Driving

#Cleaning

#Medical

#Dental

#Musical

(please note that if you work in a professional field appropriate certification will be required to be registered to allow such work to be undertaken for obvious reasons)

the list goes on and on and on.........

If you can offer anything that might be of use and have a desire to go and out and help then don't hesitate to let your local ICSJ clergy know. They will be delihted to hear from you. If you aren't aware of our work in your area, don't hesitate to enquire through the appropriate button on the left.

How about helping us reaping the harvest by kicking the habit?

A perennial and knotty question is how we fund our work across the world. A packet of cigarettes would go so far in supporting our ministry to those without even the cost of a packet of 20 to feed their families/ provide medical support in crisis areas/ clothe a homeless person etc.

All our clergy are self funding and often find it hard to make ends meet with all the demands on their own limited pockets.

If you feel you would like to support us financially, you are most welcome to send donations to Church House for distributing among our clergy's ministries for specific projects (such as the 2008-9 Fundraiser for our Pakistan associated ministry Sewing and Care centre in Faisalabad)

or in turn donate direct to your local project.

All funds are governed and overseen directly by our Trustees and NO monies are spent on salaries, wages or stipends. EVERY penny/cent/yen etc is accounted for to the work that it is sent for.

Just imagine, cleaner lungs and a healthy heart for you, a lifesaver for someone else!

We hope shortly to be able to offer a secure paypal account for people who wish to contribute regular tithes.
